Almost everything on Candy Shorts is set in a house. This one is set in a court, with a dragon queen in it, and the change of air does more for the format than any amount of extra episodes would.
The setup
You are a prisoner, taken as the Dragon Queen’s plaything. The series is about that arrangement not surviving contact with you. It is a power-reversal story, which is a structure with somewhere to travel, and five episodes turns out to be roughly the right length for it.
How it plays out
This is the one place where generated video stops being a compromise. Every other series on the platform is trying to look like footage someone could have shot, and falling slightly short. Here there is no real version to fall short of. A throne room with a dragon queen in it looks exactly as plausible as it needs to.
