What Candy Shorts costs

The pricing question gets asked as if Shorts were its own product. It is not, and that single fact answers most of what people actually want to know.

The plans

One subscription, three billing terms. The same subscription covers chat, image generation, voice and video, so you are not paying for Shorts as such: you are paying for Candy AI and Shorts is in it.

What the annual plan really means

The $3.99 figure is the one every listing quotes and it is accurate, but it is not what leaves your account. The annual plan bills as a single charge of roughly $47.88 up front, and it renews automatically at the same price and term. If you want the low monthly number you are committing to a year in one payment.

The quarterly plan is the middle option and it is the one most people should probably take: appreciably cheaper than rolling monthly, without a year of exposure to a platform you have watched four episodes of.

Tokens, and why they mostly do not matter here

Candy AI runs a token system for generation. Roughly twelve tokens buys five seconds of video, plans include a monthly allowance, and you can buy more. This is where a lot of confusion comes from, because it sounds as though episodes cost tokens individually.

For watching Shorts on a subscription, they effectively do not. Tokens are for what you generate yourself. Where people get caught is in generating video in the main app, which burns an allowance fast at that rate.

What to check before you subscribe

Three things, none of which are hidden but all of which are easy to skip.

It renews automatically, on every term. Cancelling is straightforward and our page on cancelling walks through it, but nothing lapses quietly on its own.

Local taxes may be added at checkout, so the figure you see quoted is a pre-tax figure depending on where you are.

The charge appears as EverAI on your statement, not as Candy AI. That surprises people who go looking for a line item that is not there.

Is it worth it for Shorts alone

Honestly, that depends on whether you watch more than one series. Two free episodes across a hundred-plus series is a lot of free viewing, and a subscription bought purely to finish one five-episode run is poor value at any term.

Work through the free episodes of several series first. If four or five of them leave you wanting episode 3, the annual plan is cheap for what you will get. If none of them do, no plan is.
